Pagosa Springs Car Show honors announced

Posted

With a mix of local, regional and statewide participation, the 15th annual Pagosa Springs Car Show had winners from near and far.

There were more than 15 categories with three top awards: Best of Show, People’s Choice and the Chamber Choice.

Special thanks go to Glenn Sterkel, David Steinert and Bryan Ray for hand-making the three top awards. These creative awards were decorative, with several also being functional. In the future, we would love to continue this new tradition of offering a handcrafted award for the top categories.

The award winners were:

• Best of Show: Ken Corallo from Cahone, Colo., with his 1956 Chevy 150 four-door sedan.

• People’s Choice: David Gallegos, from Pagosa Springs, with his 1967 Chevelle SS.

• Chamber Choice: Ermand Ruybal, from Colorado Springs, Colo., with his 1956 Ford Thunderbird.

Park to Park Artisan Market

The next big Chamber event is the annual Park to Park Artisan Market. This year’s market will take place July 3-6.

The event will take place in both Town Park and the athletic field in Town Park.

The entertainment has been expanded this year and will run every day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On the Fourth of July, the Pagosa Springs Community Band will play its traditional concert under the expanded entertainment tent at 2 p.m. There will be lots of other musical groups that will help entertain you as you shop.

Another added feature this year is a beer garden available in the athletic field of the park. This amenity will also be available every day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you would like to volunteer to work the beer garden on any day, please call the Chamber of Commerce at (970) 264-2360 or sign up online through the Chamber’s website, www.pagosachamber.com.

For more information on the market, Contact Naomi in the Chamber office at (970) 264-2360.
