Lisa Scott named parade grand marshal

Posted

The Fourth of July Parade will start at 10 a.m. on July 4 and will feature our 2024 grand marshal, Lisa Scott.

The parade will open with the San Juan Squadron flying formation over the parade route.

Don’t forget there is a new parade route this year, starting on Hot Springs Boulevard at the intersection with the post office and ending at the south end of Yamaguchi Park.

Please note that there will be no street parking allowed along the parade route; however, parking will be available at the high school, Town Hall and downtown.

Make sure to arrive early to find parking and pick your viewing location.

Announcers will be located at the main entrance of the Town Hall parking area so you can hear details about all the awesome parade participants.

Watch for additional information to be distributed about voting for your favorite parade entry.

Who wants to see some fireworks?

The show will start at sundown (approximately 9:30 p.m.) and can be viewed from multiple locations in town, but Yamaguchi Park is one of the favorite gathering spots.
