The Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College will reopen to full capacity for the fall 2021 Performing Arts Series and is welcoming the world to Durango, featuring musicians from the far reaches of Ireland, dancers from California and New Mexico, as well as our own cowboy favorites right here in Durango.
Keeping “community” in its schedule, organizations including San Juan Symphony, Durango Celtic Festival, Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering and numerous performances from Fort Lewis College Music and Theatre Departments will present a diverse menu of concerts and performances.

The High Kings — Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $39/$29.
The High Kings formed in Dublin in 2008 and is one of the leading Irish Folk bands in the world today. The band has toured through Ireland, the United States and Europe with members Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Darren Holden and Paul O’Brien. Dancing Earth’s “Between Underground and Skyworld” — Nov. 6, 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $20.
Dancing Earth is an array of indigenous dance artists who work as a collective under the leadership of Rulan Tangen, striving to embody a unique essence of Indigenous identity and perspective by creation and renewal of artistic and cultural movement rituals. “Between Underground and Skyworld” is being shared as a work in progress, which represents the performance experience of our multiyear, multidimensional, project of indigenous-centered futurities. State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara returns for the holiday season with “The Nutcracker” accompanied by Durango’s own San Juan Symphony. This magical story is a favorite for audiences of all ages. The magnificent, opulent sets, complete with a gloriously gigantic Christmas tree, came all the way from Russia to set the backdrop for glittering snowflakes, waltzing flowers, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her enchanting castle of characters — including local dancers and singers. The Bar D Wranglers’ popular “Christmas Jubilee” returns for the holidays. The Bar D Wranglers weave together traditional holiday and western music, cowboy poetry, tall tales and humor.
