2025 Business Happy Hour lottery now open

Posted

The annual Business Happy Hour lottery is now open to all Chamber members throughout the month of October.

These networking events occur almost every month on the fourth Friday of the month and are co-hosted by a Chamber member business and the Chamber of Commerce.

New businesses, businesses interested in showing off new products or services, or any that would like to gain more exposure are perfect candidates. Businesses can host a Business Happy Hour on their own, partner with neighboring businesses or collaborate with a business that may not have a storefront presence or a nonprofit agency that does not have much office space.

Hosting businesses provide light appetizers or other food, and the Chamber provides the beverages. You can plan fun activities, provide discounts or giveaways, and generally make it a fun evening for the attendees. With the event occurring on a Friday evening, make the most of the upcoming weekend by attending a Happy Hour, finding out more about the host business and networking with other business owners.

The process to enter your business into the lottery is simple. Choose the top three months that you would like to host a Business Happy Hour and contact Anna Deering, membership coordinator, at info@pagosachamber.com with your interest by Nov. 1 with your preferred months. The lottery drawing will take place the following Monday and businesses will then be notified.

If you have questions or for more information about hosting a Business Happy Hour, contact the Chamber at (970) 264-2360.

Archuleta Health Fair and Expo

The second annual Archuleta Health Fair and Expo will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Pagosa Springs High School.

The morning will begin with inexpensive blood draws that cover a range of panels. It is highly encouraged to book your appointment in advance so that you know the correct time to come into the fair and you will not have to wait around to have your blood drawn.

However, once you are at the health fair, there will be a number of vendors and community organizations that you can visit with or get tested. Walk around and visit the vendors, fill out your wellness pass and turn it in for a free soaking pass.

There will also be a farm-to-table lunch beginning at 11 a.m. for only $10. Guest speaker Dr. Julie Buchner will give the keynote lunch talk.

Interested attendees can register for the blood draw or the lunch at www.foodcoalition4archuleta.org. The tab to register is at the top of the home page.

Don’t miss this opportunity to receive some inexpensive blood tests, find out more about health care providers and insurance, and look to improve your health.
