St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church is pleased to announce that on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m., we will hold our second Sunday Night Unplugged since the pandemic and will feature the duo of Sam Hughes and Chase Peeler.

Hughes plays the guitar and mandolin while Peeler plays the pennywhistle and other wind instruments.

Hughes’ and Peeler’s musical stylings will create a space for meditation and prayer that will be filled with beauty. In addition to our featured musicians, St. Patrick’s current rector, the Rev. Wren Blessing, will offer readings that will stimulate thought and provide a backdrop for reflection. These offerings combined with the view of the Continental Divide from our sanctuary windows will provide inspiration for contemplative thought.

Sunday Night Unplugged is a cherished service at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church that was started by former rector Douglas Neel and his wife, Sally Neel, who served as the music director at St. Patrick’s alongside her husband.

This past summer, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church reawakened this service featuring local native American flautist Charles Martinez. We thank all those who attended and filled our sanctuary in July to hear Martinez and take part in this revitalization of Sunday Night Unplugged. Your attendance let us know that this service has been missed by the community of Pagosa Springs.

St. Patrick’s Sunday Night Unplugged service is open to all members of the community. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, which is located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd.
