By Joan Y. Ward | Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Please join the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship on Sunday, Aug. 20, at 10:30 a.m., in person or on Zoom.
UU member and full-time resident Bob LeCour will be discussing the works of two spiritual teachers who follow unique approaches and whom LeCour has studied for a long time.
Adyashanti (which means “primordial peace”) is American-born and trained in the Zen tradition for 14 years. His Zen teacher asked him to teach in 1996. The truth he points to is not confined to any religion, belief system or ideology and is open to all. He is the author of multiple books and does a variety of live and online programs worldwide, including retreats and conferences.
LeCour has found his teachings to be clear and understandable and has followed his work for many years — many times in person. Adyashanti leads the Open Gate Sangha.
Pail Ferrini, based in Florida, is the author of some 50 books on love, healing and forgiveness. His unique blend of spirituality and psychology goes beyond self-help and recovery into the heart of healing. His conferences, retreats and Affinity group process have helped thousands of people.
Join the Zoom meeting at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8991941305 using meeting ID 899 194 1305 or dial (346) 248-7799.
Masks are optional at this time. Social distancing will be encouraged and, to that end, the maximum capacity of the fellowship has been reduced to 25, a very good reason for arriving a few minutes early.
Our fellowship offers each individual support in their unique spiritual path and an opportunity to participate in positive social and environmental action. We welcome diversity and invite everyone to share in our faith community. Find us in Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd., on the north side facing the mountains.
Services are on the first and third Sundays of the month at 10:30 a.m. Meditation, based on cultivating the four immeasurables (love, compassion, joy and equanimity) is on the second and fourth Sundays at 9 a.m. Qigong is on Tuesdays at 1:15 p.m.
