The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado (Region 9 EDD) recently announced its board officers for 2023.
William Tookey, San Juan County administrator, was elected as chair for the sixth year; Mary Jo Coulehan, Pagosa Springs Chamber director, as vice chair; Dan Fernandez, Dolores at-large member, as secretary; and Collen O’Brien, La Plata at-large member, as treasurer. Three board members were also elected to the executive committee, including Kelly Koskie, city of Cortez; Clyde Church, La Plata County; and Ashleigh Tarkington, mayor of Bayfield.
Region 9 has also integrated the Southwest Colorado Council of Governments (SWCCOG) Programs into its organization. If an executive committee decision is needed during the SWCCOG transition, Jennifer Green (Town of Pagosa Springs) was elected as chair; Veronica Medina, Archuleta County, as vice chair; and Mark Garcia, town of Ignacio, as secretary/treasurer. The SWCCOG Executive Committee will meet as needed.
