Strong winter storm will bring moderate to heavy snow

According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm will bring heavy, wet snowfall to almost all higher elevations of eastern Utah and western Colorado, generally above 8,000 feet.
Snow will persist through Sunday, but the heaviest snowfall is expected to fall this evening through noon tomorrow.
The San Juan Mountains will see 1 to 2 feet of snow. The Northern Colorado mountains are forecast to receive 1 to 2 feet of snow. The central mountains will see 1 to 2 feet of snow, possibly reaching 3 feet in spots.
Mountain passes will likely become impassable at times.
