Powerhouse storm to bring heavy snow, wind and cold


According to the National Weather Service, a strong storm will produce several hazards across the region through Wednesday evening including heavy snow, strong winds and very cold wind chills. The heaviest snow will be in the southern mountains where an additional foot or more is possible, with 5 to 10 inches in the adjacent valleys. The heaviest snow rates 1-3 inches per hour peak this evening through early Wednesday morning.
