The RG Bank board of directors elected Mark Lounsbury as chair on Dec. 28. Lounsbury was born and raised in Monte Vista and has spent most of his life in the community. Since 2000, he has served as the general manager of Grower Shipper Potato Company.
Lounsbury has been on the RG Bank Board since 2017. Serving with Lounsbury are James “Jim” Clare, vice chair, Charles “Chuck” Bryant Jr., Eric Kimberling, Shon R. Davis and Danielle Anderson.
Lounsbury attended University of Northern Colorado and Adams State University. He served on the Stampede Committee for 16 years, the Monte Vista Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years and was a board member for the Colorado State Fair Foundation. Lounsbury is married to Gigi Dennis-Lounsbury and they reside just outside of Monte Vista.
RG Bank, founded in 1905, is headquartered in Monte Vista and has branch locations in Alamosa and Pagosa Springs.
