With great attendance and over 14 chili entries, following are the winners of the TARA Community Center’s Chili Cookoff.
Tied for first place: shredded chicken enchilada chili by Cassandra Shacklett, and Texas chili with brisket by Deborah Willms.
Second place: green chili, by Melissa Gills and Ursula Davies.
Third place: cha-cha chicken chili by Susan Halkin.
The silent auction also had a great turnout, with multiple bids on more than 30 items, from handcrafted items in glass and wood to kitchen appliances to gift cards to restaurants, resorts and stores.
