Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to discuss travel and spirituality

The topic of the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship service on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. in-person or on Zoom will be “Travel and Spirituality.”

Does travel affect your spirituality? Does experiencing other cultures and other peoples’ way of living give you a sense of our underlying connection? Does spending time in other landscapes amaze you at the variety of environments on our earth? Does seeing our world from space give you a holistic perspective? How do the pictures from the Webb telescope of beyond our world affect your spirituality?

Join Joan Ward as she discusses these questions, with some insights from Neil deGrasse Tyson’s book “Starry Messenger: Cosmic Perspectives on Civilization” and from her recent travels to Maritime Canada (with pictures). Share your travel experiences and thoughts on these questions.

Ward is a longtime member of the Pagosa UU Fellowship, a member of its steering committee and a volunteer for many local organizations.

Zoom instructions: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89541356518. Meeting ID: 895 4135 6518. Call in: (346) 248-7799.

Depending on the current COVID recommendations, please be prepared to wear a well-fitting mask, if deemed necessary, while in the building. Social distancing will be encouraged and, to that end, the maximum capacity of the fellowship has been reduced to 25, a very good reason for arriving a few minutes early.

Our fellowship offers each individual support in our unique spiritual path and an opportunity to participate in positive social and environmental action. We welcome diversity and invite everyone to share in our faith community.

Find us in Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd., on the north side facing the mountains. Join us. For more information about the fellowship, please visit www.pagosauu.org.
