The TARA Community Center annual chili cook-off and silent auction will be held at 333 Milton Lane in Arboles on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and $30 for a family, with children under 6 admitted free.
Chili contestants are encouraged to bring a slow cooker full of homemade chili to the upper level at 4 p.m. People’s Choice judging and tasting by all will begin at 4:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., the chili winners will be announced, offering first-, second- and third-place prizes.
The silent auction will begin at 4 p.m. in the lower level. Many local donors have participated in the silent auction items for the fundraiser. The silent auction will end at 7 p.m., with winners being announced at 7:30 p.m. (need not be present to win).
All proceeds will equally benefit the TARA Historical Fund, The TARA Food Pantry and the TARA General Fund. Come and enjoy an evening of fun and community.
