This Saturday will be the annual Band-O-Rama concert featuring five bands from Pagosa Springs. The three bands from the Pagosa Springs Middle School will start the concert with pieces that they have prepared for your listening enjoyment. The Pagosa Springs High School Jazz Band will follow with several selections. The last band to play will be the Pagosa Springs Community Band.
The musicians look forward to this concert each year as an opportunity to share the love of music across generations. More than 100 musicians of all ages have been practicing at home and at rehearsals to get each note, phrase and entrance to perfection. The conductors’ directions work to get each band member to think as one as they interpret the music. It is amazing to think of all the people, instruments and hands that work together in perfect unison to create the pleasing sound of music. The icing on the cake is the joy that it brings to the musicians and the audience.
Come and enjoy the musical talent of your friends and neighbors. The concert will be Saturday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium. It is a free concert and donations will be accepted. Come and enjoy the music.
