By Rose Chavez | Food System/Food Equity Coalition

This Thursday, April 21, from 2 to 3 p.m., Healthy Archuleta, doing business as FSFE — Food Coalition, will host a community conversation that will explore current Colorado state legislation and federal nutrition policy opportunities that are focused on advancing nutrition security and food equity.

This is a chance for our community to better understand the state and federal nutrition policy landscape and implications for our local and regional needs and efforts.

Wendy Peters Moschetti, managing director at Nourish Colorado, will also share about her role representing the interests of health and nutrition on the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council (COFSAC) and opportunities to engage the state food policy council. The COFSAC’s charge is to advance recommendations that strengthen healthy food access for all Coloradans through Colorado agriculture and local food systems and economies.
