Richard Mark Tulley, 61, of Pagosa Springs, passed away on March 25 at home with his family.

Mark was born July 12, 1960, to Jacqueline and Richard Tulley in Indianapolis, Ind. He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Ann Tulley, whom he married on July 6, 1985. He is also survived by daughter Erin Rain (Chris), Superior, Colo., and son Richard Reid Tulley (Michael), Fairplay, Colo. He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy Tulley (Lino), Aurora, Colo., Beth Caldwell (David), Crawfordsville, Ind. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Ferguson.

An avid fisherman, expert skier and skillful outdoorsman, he taught and encouraged countless others to enjoy the adventurous activities he loved. He led Boy Scout Troop 152 in Farmington, N.M., for many years, where he inspired young men to gain confidence through their achievements. Mark served as a territory sales manager for Cameron Ashley Building Products.

Mark will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of experiencing his infectious energy and ever-positive outlook on life. A dedicated family man, he cherished his grandchildren, Bennett and Meredith Rain, who brought him endless joy. He enjoyed being with his neighbors and extended family, many nearby in Denver. Some of his best memories were spent with his friends who became family, The Poker Group, who will continue to celebrate his legacy through their laughter and adventures.
