The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership (GGP) will host Pagosa Springs’ eighth Environmental Film Festival on April 16 at 2 p.m.

The Film Fest kicks off our community’s 2022 Earth Day celebrations. The GGP partners with the Colorado Environmental Film Festival to bring the highest quality first-run films to GGP supporters in Pagosa Springs. Films will be announced and wristbands will go on sale soon.

The GGP’s 2022 Environmental Film Festival will be held at Tennyson Event Center. Individuals and businesses can sponsor the film festival and help bring this educational event to Pagosa Springs. Email ggp@pagosagreen.org and request a sponsorship packet. The GGP will contact you.

The GGP manages three educational dome greenhouses, outdoor gardens and the amphitheater at the Riverwalk in Centennial Park. During the COVID pandemic, the GGP has focused on growing fresh produce for local food pantries. The volunteer- and donor-driven nonprofit minimized public activities for two years, but the GGP is eager to reopen. The GGP is planning educational activities and community events for coming months, starting with the 2022 Environmental Film Festival.

The GGP teaches sustainable year-round vegetable production, renewable energy, environmental awareness and wise water use. Truly a partnership, the GGP joins numerous nonprofits and educational organizations in welcoming the Pagosa Springs community to celebrate the 52nd Earth Day. The GGP is growing food and community with local energy.
