Join the Pagosa Nordic Club this Sunday, Jan, 23, during WinterFest, for the annual Red Ryder BB Gun Biathlon Nordic Ski Race. The event will be held in Yamaguchi Park in downtown Pagosa Springs and is a super fun race for all ages and a great spectator event.
The event features 16km competitive race starting at 9 a.m., with registration/check-in from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m.; KidK race at 11 a.m., with registration/check-in from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.; and a 4km citizens race starts at 11:30 a.m., with registration/check-in from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.
Racers are asked to be geared up and ready for your start time.
The event is a freestyle ski event in which participants can either classic or skate ski. Costumes are encouraged, so come as your favorite superhero. The race fee is $5 for Pagosa Nordic Club members and $15 for nonmembers. Prizes for the top finishers and participant drawing giveaways will be held immediately following the race.
