Irma (Sanchez) Brown, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., formerly of Waco, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 25. Irma married Al Brown, the love of her life on March 19, 1965. Irma and Al moved to Pagosa Springs in the summer of 1995. Irma is survived by her husband, Albert (Al) Brown; and her children, Debbie King and husband Jim, of Waco, Texas; Jeffrey Brown and wife Kelli of Argyle, Texas; Dephanie Thornton, of Fort Worth, Texas; and Amy Wilson and husband Rok, of Pagosa Springs, Colo. Irma is also survived by 11 grandchildren (Justin King, Ashlee King, Connor Brown, Decker Brown, Spencer Goodrum, Keller Goodrum, Taylor Cunningham, Bailey Thornton, Shannel Wilson, Devin Wilson and Briggs Wilson); six great-grandchildren (Colin King, Farah King, Emilee Gregg, Waylon Cunningham, Audie Cunningham and Kennedy Goodrum); six siblings (Henrietta Berlanga, Elu Sanchez, Naomi May, Eli Sanchez, Lee Sanchez and Minerva Sanchez); and many nephews and nieces. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Minerva; three brothers (Baldemar, Inez Jr. and Charles); one sister (Alexandra); and grandson (Jonathan King). She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Irma loved her family and animals. Memorials in her name may be made to Rugby’s Rescue House (www.rugbysrescue.com) per her request. A celebration of Irma’s life will be held in the summer 2022.
