The FSFE — Food Coalition will be hosting an online Community Conversation this Thursday, Oct. 14, from 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom, https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83978862954, on the topic of “Closing the Food Gap.”

The virtual meeting on Thursday will introduce community members to the author Mark Winne and will provide an overview of the book entitled “Closing the Food Gap: Resetting the Table in the Land of the Plenty.”

Next Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 7 p.m., the coalition will host an in-person kick off of the book club. During the kick-off, registered participants can check out a copy of the book. Subsequent sessions will be held in person and on Zoom each Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. through Nov. 16.

The book club will culminate in a final discussion and book signing with the author on Nov. 16.

Community members are invited to contact the FSFE — Food Coalition to sign up to participate in the book club, which will be limited to the first 12 registrants. Additional community members will be put on a waiting list for a future book club.
