Don’t forget to get your application in to adopt a section of the Riverwalk for the Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration to be held on Dec. 18 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The walking parade will go along the Riverwalk, where businesses, nonprofits, families or groups can adopt a section of the parade route to host a themed display. People can give out hot chocolate or food items such as candy or cookies or host a musical (non-amplified) section. The intent is to spread the spirit of giving; therefore, the selling of items will not be permitted.
People adopting a section of the route will be expected to provide their own illumination and low-impact décor.
Join the fun and enter to volunteer, adopt a section of the route or be a musician at the Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration. Get your applications in by Oct. 8.
