St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd., will begin collecting winter clothes for its annual Clothing Giveaway in September. Gently used winter hats, boots, shoes, coats and other winter clothing items for men, women, children and babies will be accepted starting on Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon and continue the following week —Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday — at the same hours.

The Clothing Giveaway has become a tradition in the Pagosa Community for over 20 years. St. Patrick’s believes that no one should spend the winter without enough clothes to keep them warm. Our winters may be lovely, but the cold winds do blow and those hands and feet can get very chilly. Do you have some winter clothes that you have outgrown? Clothes that are still in good shape, but that don’t fit your shape anymore? We would love to pass them on to those who might be able to use them.

The actual Clothing Giveaway will be on Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. to noon in the church parking lot. Watch for more information on where to park and how we can assist you in your shopping spree in the coming weeks. Please be mindful of others and wear a mask when dropping off your clothing donations.

Questions? The church can be reached from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday at (970) 731-5801, or leave a message and someone will return your call.
