The Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office, Upper San Juan Search and Rescue, and Mineral County Search and Rescue held an interagency team development exercise on Wolf Creek Pass Saturday with access granted through Wolf Creek Ski Area. The teams practiced a scree field evacuation exercise transporting a dummy in a titanium litter across a scree field suspended on a rope system. After crossing the field, they continued the transport using a wheeled litter. The training involved 38 rescuers.
