On June 22, the Upper San Juan Health Service District Board of Directors, which oversees Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC), approved up to $500,000 for oxygen-generation equipment — something PSMC Chief of Staff Dr. Ralph Battels said would be “manifest good for our community.”
