Steven Smith passed peacefully on the eve of Dec. 22, 2020, in Alamosa, Colo. He resided in Pagosa Springs for the last 15 years and spent time in his recliner enjoying views of Pagosa Peak out his living room window.
Steve was born in Boulder, Colo. He joined the Air Force and then was employed as an accountant most of his life.
He married Arlette Smith in Las Vegas in 1986. Arlette was with him, holding his hand when he passed.
Steven is survived by Arlette, her son, Mike Pluth, and his wife, Rena Gallant, of Pagosa Springs. His ashes will be interred in Boulder, Colo., with his mother, Sally Hicks Gale.
