Last Thursday, Aug. 27, a fire was reported in Burns Canyon.
According to San Juan National Forest Public Affairs Officer Esther Godson, fire crews were successful in containing the fire. The fire was controlled by the end of the day on Saturday, Aug. 29, and there will be no more updates.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
