Paonia resident Leah S. Pearce passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, at her home with her family by her side. She was 63 years old.
Leah Susan Reming was born Nov. 27, 1955, to Henry P. and Dorothy O. (Miller) Reming in New York. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Buffalo, N.Y., until her junior year in high school when the family moved to Phoenix, Ariz.
On March 14, 2015, Leah married the love of her life, Robert H. Pearce, in Paonia, Colo. The couple spent the past four years making memories that Robert will cherish forever.
Leah enjoyed church, gardening, art, sewing, helping Robert with his business and, most importantly, her family.
Leah is survived by her husband, Robert H. Pearce; sons Jordan Mustill, Evan Mustill and his wife Sharay; stepdaughter Kira Budinger; brother David Reming and his wife, Barbara; sisters Laura Reming, Grace McGregor and her husband, Steve, Amy Reiff and her husband Terry; and her sister-in-law, Cathy Reming. Leah is further survived by three grandchildren: Serenity, Dasten and Paisley.
Leah was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Greg Reming.
A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, June 18, at Paonia Friends Church.
