Richard Touchstone was born on March 24 in Gardena, Calif., in the spring of 1957 to Champ Touchstone and Diana Millan Touchstone. He is preceded in death by his father, Champ Touchstone, and stepfather Alex Bishop.

Rick graduated from South High School and attended El Camino College in Torrance, Calif.

Rick loved his children more than life itself! Rick leaves behind three children: Canyon, Bryce and Ciara Touchstone, of Torrance, Calif.; and two beautiful granddaughters, Coral and Justyn. His infinite love for them runs deeper than any root. His mother, Diana Millan, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., along with his lifelong best friends and brothers, Dan Touchstone (Jeri), of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Matt Bishop (Kazumi), of Morro Bay, Calif., Alan Touchstone (Denise), of Boise, Idaho; sisters Jaimie Miller (Scott), and Liz Bishop (Mike), of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; 14 nephews and nieces: Chris Lemay and Amber Landacre, Travis and Selena Touchstone, Cheyenne Smith (Keagan), Dakota Jeremayah, McKayla and Jacob Miller, Cody Ian, Julie and Courtney Bishop, and Katie Berry; and five great-nephews and nieces: Isaah Bishop, Logan Frady, Brooklyn Richy and Hazel and Desmond Brown. Also, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Rick will be missed by his many loved ones and friends. He probably already has a group playing horseshoes in Heaven, or racquetball.

The Celebration of Life for Rick will be held on June 22 at 3 p.m., 2449 254th St., in Lomita, Calif.

We would like to extend a big thank you to each nurse and staff member at the Pine Ridge Extended Care, along with the family and friends for the countless hours of uplifting, praying, support, transporting, healing and caring for, and simply for just “being there” for Rick.

“May you live your life in fun and love today and each day, in Rick’s honor.”
