Special to The PREVIEW
On May 7, the current and former Pagosa stars came together at the beautiful home of Lisa Peters for this year’s Stargazing Party.
There the 2018 Pagosa stars met the 2019 Pagosa stars and shared some of their experiences with Dancing with the Pagosa Stars.
Many of the 2018 stars talked about when to buy dance shoes, how to handle stage fright and how they encouraged their friends to vote for them. Every single star spoke to the importance of Dancing with the Pagosa Stars because of the cause that it supports.
Dancing with the Pagosa Stars is a dancing competition where Pagosa Springs celebrities partner with dance coaches to win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. All the proceeds from the event, including every vote, go towards Seeds of Learning, Pagosa Springs’ nationally accredited preschool.
The effects of a high-quality preschool education can follow a child for the rest of their lives. The cost for running Seeds of Learning is $52 per child per day, which many families cannot afford. Because of events like Dancing with the Pagosa Stars, more kids can access the life-changing education offered at Seeds.
If you’d like to see the Pagosa stars in action and see the competition unfold for the Mirror Ball Trophy, you can still buy tickets to the event on July 20 at the Ross Aragon Community Center , which will start at 6 p.m.
To purchase tickets, please call Peters at (281) 650-0875. No tickets will be available at Seeds of Learning. All tickets must be paid for at time of purchase and reservations require purchaser address, email, guest names as well as the star being honored with the purchase. Please go to the Seeds website at http://growingseeds.org for additional ticket purchase instructions and for more information on our stars.
If you’d like to support Seeds of Learning by voting for one of the eight fabulous Pagosa stars, please visit http://growingseeds.org and vote for all your favorite stars.
