Sally was born May 27, 1932, to Neal and Eleanor Sundin in Brookfield, Ill. She grew up in Brookfield. Over her life, she was married several times and to those marriages, four wonderful children were given. In 1981, she moved to Tulsa, Okla., to live close to her daughter, Jody, and there raised two of her grandchildren. She and Jody moved to Pagosa Springs in 2004 and together they raised her great-granddaughters and enjoyed each other’s company until her passing.

Sally’s faith was paramount in her life and she was a devout Seventh-Day Adventist. She was a member of the Pagosa Springs Seventh-Day Adventist Church and attended SDA churches in her former hometowns. Sally worked for the University of Illinois Extension Center, John M. Smyth Homemakers Furniture and very much enjoyed her time working for Dillard’s Department Store in Tulsa.

Most of all, Sally was a wonderful mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a friend to many and never met a stranger. Through her failing health, her attitude and faith made her a joy to be with and care for. She’ll be remembered as always praising the Lord and when asked how she was feeling, she would answer without fail, “Super-Fine!”

She is survived by her children: Jody Moon, Bill Schieberl, Sara Jackson and Neal Schieberl; sister Ellie Mae Banas; grandchildren: Allen O’Brien, Shannon O’Brien-Montgomery, Erin Findley, Heavin Schieberl, Madison Bailey, Connor Schieberl, Carli Schieberl, and Mason Schieberl; great-grandchildren: Celestial O’Brien, Serenity O’Brien, Evan Findley, Zack Findley and Aidyn Cole.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rae Kolf.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 17, at 3 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs SDA Church, 40 Oren Road.

Memorial contributions may be sent to: Pagosa Springs SDA Church Fund - IT IS WRITTEN Project: Eyes for India.
