Good Samaritans are part of solution to abandoned mine cleanup


In August 2015, Coloradans across the southwest part of our state experienced both shock and anger as the Animas River turned yellow, the result of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) accidentally releasing millions of gallons of toxic mining waste from the abandoned Gold King Mine.
