The veterans breakfast hosted by the eighth-grade class will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, at the Ross Aragon Community Center. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served until 10:30 a.m.
Nov. 12 is the official day of observance of Veterans Day this year.
The American Legion Post Honor Guard will demonstrate the flag folding and presentation conducted at military funerals at 9 a.m. in lieu of posting colors.
The Legion Veterans Day ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Legion Hall on Monday, Nov. 12 (with a missing man formation flyover by the San Juan Flying Squadron) and will be followed by a free catered lunch for veterans in the hall hosted by the Post Auxiliary.
The next event will be the flag retirement and disposal ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. behind the Legion building. It will be followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m. All are invited to participate and help.
