SNAP enrollees will learn how to use their benefits to receive Double Up Bucks ( at the Farmers Market. For every dollar spent (up to $20), SNAP recipients will receive a matching dollar good for fruits and vegetables. The program helps people bring home healthier foods while supporting local farmers.
The tour will include stops at a few Farmers Market food growers’ booths. The growers will each give a short, informative talk about their businesses and why they believe in growing and cooking healthy foods.
Everyone is invited to attend the free tour, which will start from the Southwest Organization for Sustainability/Farmers Market information booth.
