At a very early age (from about 2 years old), Becky went in the ministry from door to door with her mother. She rode in a basket on the back of her mother’s bicycle.

In 1950, at age 10, she symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was baptized in a creek in Elkhart, Ind.

Becky and her husband, Warren, were married on Oct. 5, 1957, in Compton, Calif. They were married for 60 and a half years and had a son (Christopher Mark Slattendale) on Jan. 1, 1959, in Boulder, Colo. Chris preceded his mother in death at age 37 on April 12, 1996. Becky was preceded in death by her parents.

It meant a lot to Becky to follow closely in the footsteps of Christ Jesus by preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom in the house-to-house ministry. She continued sharing in this important work right up until the time of her death. She was an avid reader and student of the Bible right up until the last two weeks of her life.

She was very interested in cooking and taught their son, Chris, to be a good chef. She loved to knit and was a good seamstress. She also worked in the City Market in Pagosa Springs for 10 years.

Becky passed away June 5 at her home in Salmon, Idaho. There will be no memorial service held. Her hope and her faith was that she will be reunited with Warren in the paradise earth, when she is resurrected by the voice of Jesus Christ, soon to come. Her friends and family will be anxious to see Becky when she is resurrected to perfect health in the paradise earth (Revelation 21:3-5).

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Jones and Casey Funeral Home of Salmon, Idaho, www.jonesandcaseyfh.com.
