Winter Weather Advisory issued

Posted

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. this evening to midnight Wednesday night for elevations above 9,000 feet for the Southwest San Juan Mountains, according to the U.S. National Weather Service.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, with localized amounts up to 12 inches, are expected.

Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect reduced visibilities at times.
