Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership (GGP) teaches youth classes each week in the Education Dome in Centennial Park. GGP’s environmental educators are also designing adult workshops for 2018, the GGP’s second year of operations.

The GGP will host the sixth Pagosa Environmental Film Festival this weekend at the Liberty Theatre and Farrago Market Cafe. The Film Fest is the nonprofit GGP’s first 2018 workshop. Supporters purchase tickets to help pay for educational programming. To buy tickets, go to www.pagosagreen.org/filmfestival. Tickets are also for sale at the Pagosa Chamber, Exit Realty and at the door.

Farrago is the scene of the Friday Premiere Night, where supporters see films ahead of the Saturday crowd. Premiere Night is from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 for GGP members and $50 for nonmembers. Each guest receives a 2018 GGP membership, an all-access wristband for Friday and Saturday at the Liberty Theatre, and Saturday night back at Farrago and The Lift.

Saturday’s lineup is only $10 for GGP members and $15 for nonmembers. Films at the Liberty Theatre are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Folks who purchase a Saturday wristband will gather at Farrago and The Lift from 6 to 9 p.m. to celebrate continued success for the GGP.

Saturday’s films are scheduled so that guests can come and go, but not miss any of Colorado Environmental Film Festival’s 2018 documentaries chosen especially for the Pagosa community. Two feature-length films are scheduled for after lunch and will be shown only once. “A River’s Last Chance,” CEFF Best Feature Film, will be shown at 1 p.m. “How We Grow,” CEFF Best of Fest, will be shown at 3:55 p.m.

Saturday night will include more food and live music.

Pagosa’s 2018 Original Songwriters Showcase kicks off in the patio of The Lift and Farrago Saturday night. Miro and Donnie will be joined by other local musicians and GGP supporters for a treat of live music.
