Special to The PREVIEW

Spring has officially arrived in Pagosa Springs, with the eagerly awaited seventh annual Spring Flower and Plant Expo sponsored by the Mountain High Gardeners Club just around the corner.

The Expo will take place on Wednesday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds/Extension office (located on U.S. 84).

This event provides an opportunity for vendors from Pagosa, Durango and Allison to display their garden products and/or expertise, and for members and visitors to talk with landscapers, purchase vegetable and house plants, learn about the Geothermal Greenhouse Project, the Farmers Market, county weed agent and more.

Ron Chacey and other club members will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. You will also be able to sign up for membership in the garden club at this time.

The garden club meets the third Wednesday of every month between March and October at 10 a.m., usually at the Extension Office.

The spring Expo is open to the public and admission is free.
