Storm spotter training class offered

If you are interested in severe weather, come to a free storm spotter training class provided by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pagosa Springs on Wednesday, April 11, starting at 6 p.m. at the Archuleta County Extension office, 344 U.S. 84, at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds.

The course is also offered in Durango on Thursday, April 12, starting at 6 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., in the Pine Room in the County Extension building. At Durango, an optional one-hour advanced training will follow basic training.

Basic storm spotter training is about two hours and starts at 6 p.m.
