According to Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) Region 5 Communications Manager Lisa Schwantes, an employee with CDOT’s Pagosa Springs maintenance patrol was working along U.S. 160 today when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The employee was transported to Pagosa Springs Medical Center and then flown to Denver.
The incident took place near Walmart, just east of mile marker 140.
