Special to The PREVIEW

The book for our meeting on Jan. 26 at the Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library is “The Walk” by Richard Paul Evans, who has written many novels on the New York Times bestseller list. Evans has two first-place Storytelling World Awards for his children’s books and 2005 Romantic Times Best Women’s Novel of the Year Award. Several of his books have been made into television movies. As a child, Alan Christoffersen establishes a relationship with his next-door female neighbor who shares a similar loss of their mother’s. In their teen years, this friendship blooms into a love affair that ends in marriage. However, McKale has a horseback riding accident that results in her being confined to a wheelchair in their beautiful home in the Seattle area. Join the Literary Ladies on Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss this book and the author. Books are available at the library.
