Joan Campbell Sager

Joan Campbell Sager, 88, passed peacefully in her sleep at Autumn Leaves Memory Care Residence, Edmond, Okla., Sept. 13. Joan and her husband, Jerry, were former residents of Pagosa Springs for 32 years.

Joan loved living in the mountains, where she volunteered for the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce and Pagosa Springs Senior Center. She was a member of Pagosa Springs Community Christian Church. Joan loved traveling to several destinations in the world with her husband, Jerry. Her passions were playing bridge with friends, walking, hiking and fishing with her grandchildren when they visited. She belonged to the Gray Wolves Ski Club and participated in Colorado Senior Olympics, where she won several medals in swimming and fast walking relays.

Joan is survived by her husband, Jerry, of 33 years, of Edmond, Okla.; daughter Linda (Steve) Davis, of Edmond, Okla.; son Wayne (Pammie) Bland, of Colorado Springs; brother Bill (Judy) Campbell and family, of Versailles, Mo.; sister-in-law Sharon Campbell and family, of Fort Scott, Kan.; grandchildren: Jeff (Karolyn); Zach and Katy, of Tyler, Texas; Hailey (Tiffany) Bland-Walsh, of Kansas City, Kan.; Anna Davis, of Pawnee, Okla.; stepchildren: John (Gena) Sager, of Dallas, Texas; Christine Sager (Dan Builderback), of Anchorage, Alaska; step-grandchildren: Ben and Nick Sager, of Texas; Sage Builderback, of California; and Matthew Grant, of Denver.

Joan was preceded in death by parents Roscoe and Bernice Campbell, brother RC Campbell and daughter-in-law Shawna Bland.
