PFPD responds to head-on collision, extricates puppy

Emergency personnel clean up the scene of a head-on collision near mile marker 23 on U.S. 84. Both drivers were transported to Pagosa Springs Medical Center by EMS, with personnel extricating a pit bull puppy in the passenger side of the Jeep afterwards.

The Pagosa Fire Protection District (PFPD) and Colorado State Patrol (CSP) responded to several vehicular accidents the past week, including a head on collision off of U.S. 84 that involved the extrication of a pit bull puppy.
