Special to The PREVIEW

Dancers had a blast at the Wild West Squares meet and greet festivities on April 5 heralding a new start for the next generation of square dancers.

It is not too late to join the fun for the remainder of Wild West Square’s 10-week introduction to square dance. The next class of the series is on Wednesday, April 19, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the PLPOA Clubhouse, located at 230 Port Ave. Call Carla Roberts to enroll at 903-6478.

This is a lighthearted, easygoing class open to families, couples and singles. The suggested age for children is at least 8 years old.

This new dance course covers the very basic level of square dance, so new dancers can quickly master enough calls (or dance steps) to experience the exhilaration of dancing in a group setting. The class focus is for everyone to have an enjoyable dance session while learning the building blocks of square dance. It’s an activity the whole family can enjoy. If you have children old enough to follow instructions, they can participate right along with the adults.

Make new friends on the dance floor and enjoy learning something new and exciting with the Wild West Squares in Pagosa Springs. For more information, call 903-6478.
