This week’s Legacies column takes us back 75 years ago to the April 3, 1952, edition of The Pagosa Springs SUN. “Pagosa Springs will not have a town election this year. Nobody apparently wanted the job of being mayor or city councilman. An appointment will be made at the regular meeting next Monday night to fill the vacancy of town marshal. Practically the entire incumbent board membership is understood to be ready and willing to step out for newcomers if there are any aspirants.”
