Special to The PREVIEW

An early spring and abundant snowmelt has gotten locals ready for and excited about the annual Plant and Garden Expo.

Vendors from Pagosa, Durango and Allison will fill the Extension building (U.S. 84) on from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 19.

Whether you are a seasoned gardener or new to high-altitude gardening, this is an event you won’t want to miss. You will be able to view the latest products from garden centers, talk with landscapers, purchase tomato plants and learn about the Geothermal Greenhouse Project, the Farmers Market and more.

Our resident guru, Ron Chacey, and other club members will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. You will be able to sign up for membership in the garden club, also.

This event is open to the public; admission is free.
