Jerry Gallegos, of Pagosa Springs, deeply loved by his family and friends, passed away on Aug. 13 in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
Jerry was born to Juan and Helen Gallegos on Nov. 10, 1942. He attended Pagosa Springs High School and Trinidad Junior College and received an associate degree in electronics.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla, married 54 years; daughters Geraldine Wright and husband Larry, Camille Telford and husband James, April DeLauro and husband Jake; and sons Chris Gallegos, Anthony Gallegos and wife Sara; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also, brothers John Jr., Larry and Gerard Gallegos, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Helen, and sister Betsy Gallegos.
Jerry’s passions were his family, his horses and soccer. He loved to coach and watch his children and grandchildren play various sports. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and generous heart. Services will be held in Denver, date and time to be determined.
