Each November, for 13 years now, Pagosa Springs Middle School’s (PSMS) eighth-grade class hosts a Veterans Day breakfast for the veterans and their families in our community.

A Pearl Harbor veteran, local chaplain and yearly attendee of the event, Don Strait, nominated Scott White, the social studies teacher who spearheads the Veterans Day breakfast project, for the 9Teachers Who Care award.
