Shortened application times will put pharmacist grads to work sooner

Getting a license just got easier for aspiring pharmacists in Colorado. The Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations (DPO), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), announced today a suite of improvements to streamline the application process for pharmacists.

The new process includes “direct testing,” allowing graduates to schedule and take the licensing exam without waiting on prior approval from the DPO. Additionally, a new online application launched by the DPO this month provides a more user-friendly and intuitive pathway, replacing the cumbersome paper applications.
