Special to The PREVIEW

The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will hold its April meeting Wednesday evening, April 13, at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis Street.

Join us for socializing at 6 p.m. followed by the program and a brief business meeting at 6:30 p.m. The Photography Club normally meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Methodist Church.

The April program will be presented by Susanne Russell of the Art and Framing Center of Pagosa. Russell has worked in picture framing since 1976 — 40 years — and has a wealth of experience to share. Focus will be on old and new printing techniques, matting and framing considerations of various photographic prints, plus other valuable topics.

Russell will also give all Photography Club members an opportunity to sign up for and attend one of three upcoming workshops, which will allow them free use of her shop space, tools, mats and glass.

You will want to plan to attend this very educational meeting on April 13.

For additional information, email Russell directly at ArtFramingPagosa@gmail.com.

Members are encouraged to bring 5-10 photographs on a flash drive or CD for review and discussion following the presentation, time permitting.

Photography enthusiasts of all levels of ability are invited to attend the first club meeting at no charge. If interested, you may join for an annual fee of $25 for individuals or $35 for a family up to four persons. Students may join for $10.

For more information, contact Jean Moats at 507-1017, Susanne Russell at 731-4484 or Gregg Heid at (303) 750-6764.
