Fasting now optional at 9Health Fair

Over the years, 9Health Fair participants have grown accustomed to skipping breakfast before attending the fair to have their blood drawn. Many even come early to wait in line so they can hurry to breakfast. Now, there is good news.

The 9Health Fair Medical Advisory Committee has determined that fasting is no longer required and is optional for blood screenings. A study suggests that when assessing risk for heart disease, a blood sample from someone who has not fasted is just as accurate as a sample from someone who has fasted.
